The Zensah Seamless Long Sleeve Crew Compression Shirt is the ideal wicking fabric to have in any case where sweat is a factor. I haven't worn this in any cold regions, but I wouldn't recommend it judging how well it kept me cool here in Florida. At first when I wore it and started to "hike", I was very warm and I thought buying it in black was in error, but as soon as I started to sweat, it quickly began to feel very cool to the skin, and I actually was enjoying the breeze as it almost feels to also be absorbed by the shirt. The wicking was superb (and I recommend air drying so you can wear it solid for at least a week before having to wash it in civilian use) but the only thing I didn't like is that the item is advertised with no logo's whatsoever, yet when I received it in the mail, it has this white zensah logo on the left (as it is on me) breast. I particularly do not like being a walking advertisement, but the superior quality of the fabric made me at least look this minor infraction over. This was one of the reasons I opted out of buying Under Armour. I highly recommend this item.
