Radio available in both VHF (very high frequency -136-174 MHz) or UHF(ultra highfrequency - 450-470 MHz) frequencies. VHF is more suitable for outdoor applications where there is vegetation and woods. When used for indoor applications in and around buildings UHF is more suitable. Where the application requires a combination of indoor and outdoor use, a UHF radio is preferable.
