As fishnet has said above in his review these fins are good, not great. They are good fins overall, they fit nicely in a backpack, comfortable to wear. I purchased them for added resistance/leg work out while I swim. They offer a nice level of resistance/workout for starting out, not bulky or clumsy at all like regular fins. Unlike regular fins, especially the rocket fins, these do not provide the speed as regular fins can but they are MUCH less painful on the legs as stated. I would recommend these if you are looking for fins that can travel in a backpack easily, fins that are less brutal on the legs, or looking for fins as I have to work out the legs a bit more before moving up to the rocket fins for a more strenuous swim.

These fin are good not great! I have been a navy rescue swimmer for the past ten years, therefore, forced to endure the pain of the rocket fin for quite some time. What these fins offer is relief! The stress on the ankle is LESS THAN HALF! The shin pains and calf cramps I have had to endure at the worst oppurtune time, all to many times, has left me needing more fin! These fins could have been it. the reason I say "could" is because they lack the veratility of the rocket fin. This fin is great for direct deployment scenerios but lack the long distance capabilities to chase surviviors and drag them back for extended distances. Especially if there is a moderate to high sea state. The fins are great/perfect to scoot around and buddy tow short distances. By the way this is tried and true information. My detachment and I put these fins to the test on our past deployment!
